So Many Events, Los Angeles

Want things to do, Los Angeles? You’ve come to the right place. We’ve got some recommendations for the upcoming month of March, regardless if you’re a sports fan, you dig theater, or if you’re more artistically inclined.

On Friday, March 2nd, we recommend Aladdin, live on stage at the Pantages Theater. Aladdin features original music from the Disney classic, as well as new songs, and the antics of everyone’s favorite lovable blue Genie. If you’re looking for spectacle, thrills, and comedy, this will be what you wished for, fun for both children and adults.

On Friday, March 9th, how about some circus dunks, trash talking, and long-range threes? It’s the L.A. Clippers taking on Lebron and the Cleveland Cavaliers, live at the Staples Center. Be courtside when these two NBA powerhouses square off, and who knows? That might be you in the background of a Sportscenter highlight the next morning.

For the art lover in you, the Long Beach Second Saturday Art Walk on Saturday, March 10th is a lovely way to spend an afternoon. In the beautiful downtown district of this famed beachside city, you’ll get a chance to browse the photography, crafts, paintings, and sculpture of hundreds of local artists. Find that perfect piece for your living room, and fill your lungs with the fresh sea air blowing off the Pacific.

On Wednesday, March 21st, it’s Downtown Culver City’s Third Wednesdays event. Don’t miss this one, as more than two dozen local businesses provide food, music, artwork, and many other forms of entertainment. Culver City is a neighborhood that has enjoyed a significant resurgence in the past few years, and the residents are proud of the opportunity to show it off.

Our last event this month is the King Tut: Legends of the Golden Pharaoh exhibit at the California Science Center. The Boy King is one of the more recognizable faces in history, and now, one hundred years after the discovery of his tomb, you can check out a treasure trove of artifacts, many on display outside Egypt for the very first time.

You’ll find plenty happening this month to keep you busy, so get out there, mingle, and enjoy a dose of culture and entertainment. Adios until next time, L.A.
