Looking For Things To Do? Los Angeles Has It All

If you’re visiting Los Angeles, and you’re looking for activities to occupy your time, you’ll find no shortage of fantastic, world-class experiences waiting for you. In this article, we’ll talk about your best bets when the whole family is along for the ride. When it comes to things to do, Los Angeles boasts dozens of attractions that are sure to entertain and excite, so let’s examine a few options now.

Do you have a go-big-or-go-home type of crew? If so, then Universal Studios Hollywood might be the right choice. There you’ll find shows and theme parks, as well as restaurants, shops, and cinemas at CityWalk. Plus, there’s an actual working movie studio, so the cinephiles in your group can get a real behind-the-scenes look at the making of a television show. The rides will be sure to induce a few screams, even if you’ve got a surly teenager in tow.

Perhaps you’re looking for a bit more of an educational interlude. If that’s your bag, you might consider Griffith Observatory. It’s an observatory which is open to the public, and it features several different exhibits, a planetarium, cafe, bookstores, and telescopes which command stunning views of the surrounding basin. The best part? Admission is free.

Keeping to our cultural theme, the Getty Center, more popularly known as just “The Getty,” is a museum that is world-renowned. There, you’ll find works by such legendary artists as Monet, Cezanne, and Van Gogh. The building itself is also an artistic marvel, and you’ll have an opportunity for quiet contemplation as you stroll about the grounds, or luxuriate in the peace provided by the meticulously maintained gardens.

Finally, we recommend the California Science Center, though please note that you should reserve your passes by phone or online in advance. Here, you will find more than one hundred interactive science exhibits, and at the moment, the actual Space Shuttle Endeavor is on display, so you should check that out. The Science Center makes learning fun, and is guaranteed to bring out the kid in you.

There’s more to see and do in Los Angeles than you can cram into a day or a week, but picking and choosing from among the many activities can be part of the fun. Hopefully, you enjoy your stay in this vibrant and beautiful city, and take plenty of pictures to make your friends back home jealous!
